The Awareness Hub by SRF
This Hub was created to build awareness on how children transition the different traumas that are embedded by the nature form of child abuse, child slavery and from the situations that are experienced as a refugee. At the same time, we encourage volunteers and supporters to learn which are the best ways to serve those in need, and to be closely informed on: 1) The issues that arise within the children in need and 2) The different community service opportunities that can be found in their area. The Awareness Hub also serves as a bridge between the misinformed people and the professional entities who are responsible to communicate and serve as a liaison to bring peace and community engagement in its designated region.
Our main pillars are design to give children the necessary tools to motivate and to inspire them. Research shows the importance of creating a harmonious space where children can feel safe and open to become resilient and independent citizens:
1) Empower:
Empower those who need a voice to feel strong and to freely speak up on their issue to amends and just to their right.
2) Educate:
Educate yourself and serve to educate others. Child rights are education rights. Equal opportunity for education is required no matter where someone comes from, where they were born nor the circumstance in which someone was raised. All children deserve equal rights to education.
3) Advocate:
Advocate for the best interest of the child. Advocacy is fundamental to the awareness of child neglect, child abuse and child slavery. Be a voice for the ones who need it. Spread awareness of these issues and if you suspect or have seen child abuse, please call to the corresponding State Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Number.
Resilience is a word that we must not underestimate when it comes to dealing with adversity. We have created an infographic to help you understand better how we approach this.
